Studio De Wilgenhorst is centrally located in the Green Heart in the hamlet of Hekendorp.
Exactly halfway between Oudewater and Haastrecht and directly on the Hollandse IJssel, which connects these two places. This makes our B&B also very accessible by boat!
In addition to historic Oudewater with its many attractions, Gouda, Schoonhoven, Montfoort, Woerden, and IJsselstein are all within cycling distance of our studio.
Major cities such as Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam are all reachable within 45 minutes by car.
The immediate surroundings are excellent for walking and cycling tours.
The rural area offers plenty of nature and endless opportunities to do something special, such as a visit to the Witches Weighhouse, the Rope Museum, or a trip with a horse-drawn barge that passes directly by De Wilgenhorst.

The Jewish Historical Museum is a beautiful, high-profile museum that occupies four monumental synagogue buildings in the middle of the Jewish Cultural Quarter.
